Meet the talent behind the delicious food at Drumtochty Castle. With years of experience in the wedding industry, our resident head chef, and his team of chefs, are passionate about creating high quality, local dishes for the delight of our couples.

Dougie enjoy personally meeting couples during their menu tasting, getting to know them and discuss their catering needs.

Drumtochty Castle Estate Manager

Dougal Lindsay

Estate Manager

Dougal has worked at Drumtochty castle for 22 years and knows the estate inside out. You will most likely see him working around the grounds on his tractor or in his beloved white Land Rover Defender.

Dougal meets most of our wedding parties when they partake in the clay pigeon shooting. Guests can experience this traditional Scottish country sport while being tutored by Dougal and his team.

Looking after the estate and Drumtochty’s herd of deer keeps Dougal busy, but he likes to spend his spare time with his family and 5 dogs, or practising his own shooting skills.
